Intersos participates in the second edition of the 1st level Master in Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain, of the Università Politecnica delle Marche. Together with Save the Children Italy, Think Global, Emergency, Red Cross, also this year Intersos is part of the only Master in Italy, held in English, dedicated to Humanitarian Logistics. Logistics has become an essential part of human activities in recent years, we have seen it during the pandemic: a sector that has never stopped and that has guaranteed the supply of essential goods in many countries. Humanitarian action has never stopped either. Between international, national conflicts, humanitarian, economic and environmental crises, humanitarian interventions have not only dramatically increased but have also become more complex and full of challenges.
To save lives, protect the dignity of entire communities and to give a better future to the new generations we need, today more than ever, specific, interdisciplinary, adaptable and interchangeable skills. The Master in Humanitarian Logistics aims to train humanitarian workers of tomorrow, with strong competence in logistics and able to operate in complex emergencies and in the most diverse sectors: health, human rights, food, drinking water. To guarantee humanitarian assistance wherever it is needed, even in the most remote areas.
