In more than three years of war in Yemen thousands of people have died of diseases that, in normal circumstances, could have been cured easily. 22 millions of people are in emergency conditions and needy of humanitarian relief. Today, 31st of August, marks the official closure of the project sponsored by EU Humanitarian Aid in the Aden governorate, where INTERSOS provided the local population with primary health activities, paying particular attention to children and mothers . Thanks to EU Humanitarian Aid-INTERSOS partnership, many lives have been saved and many people’s lives relieved from unnecessary suffering: 126,000 patients have been visited, 5000 malnourished children have been assisted and cured, of which 1300 in life-threatening conditions.
